ANWAR was born in 1964. Ambha (M.P), in 1985 finished National Diploma in Fine Arts, Gwalior. Has won several awards: 1985 All India Kalidas exhibition, Ujjain, 1986 Madhya Pradesh State exhibition, Bhopal, 1990-91 & 1993-94 Govt of India Scholarship New Delhi, 1995 National Award by Lalit Kala Akademi, New Delhi & 1996-97 Govt of India Senior Fellowship, New Delhi. Has held several solo shows: 1986-87-90 Kala Parishad Bhopal, 1989 Kala Parishad Gwalior, 1992-95 Jehangir Art Gallery, Mumbai, 1992,95,97 & 2001 Crimson Art Gallery Bangalore, 1993,96,99 Gallery Espace, New Delhi, 1994 Leela Kempinksy Mumbai, 1994,96, 2000 & 2002 Apparao Gallery Chennai, & 1994 Taj Art Gallery Mumbai.
