born in 1968 Ravikumar Kashi completed his B.F.A. from College of Fine Arts, Bangalore and M.F.A. from Fine Arts Faculty, M.S. University, and Baroda. Apart from being a freelance artist he is also a visiting lecturer at the Arch. Dept. R.V.C.E. Bangalore.He is the recipient of many awards, which include Karnataka Lalit Kala Academy Annual Exhibition Award, Gadgil Memorial Award in Bombay Art Society exhibition, Kejriwal Young Artist Award, National Award in 42nd National Exhibition conducted by Lalit Kala Akademi, New Delhi and Charles Wallace India Trust award for short-term study in the UK.He has had twelve solo shows in Bangalore, Mumbai, New Delhi, Chennai, and Hyderabad in India and Glasgow in UK. He has also taken part in various curated exhibitions and annual exhibitions, including 10th Trienniale of India in New Delhi, over the years. Has participated in several painting and printmaking camps and workshops in various parts of the country. Works included in the Modern Art Gallery, New Delhi, other public collections as well as numerous private collections. Several of his articles on art in English and Kannada have been published.He lives and works in Bangalore.
