VIDHYA SAGAR UPADHYAY(b.1948) born at Partapur, Banswara Rajasthan, in 1970 studied M.A. in Painting from University of Udaipur; in 1997 PhD in Painting from Sukhadia University Udaipur. He has won numerous awards from 1969 to 1984. Has held solo shows from 1967 to 2006 at Mumbai, Jaipur, Udaipur, New Delhi, Baroda, Ahmedabad, Chennai, and Gallery Espace, Avignon, France. He has also participated several group shows from 1975 to 2004 at New Delhi, Japan, represented India in Asian Biennale, Dhaka, Bangladesh in 1993, Cuba, Jaipur, Bangalore, Rajasthan, and Australia. His works are in the permanent collection all over India. At present he is in the Government of Rajasthan, Directorate College Education working as the Head of Dept. Painting, Rajasthan School of Art, Jaipur.
