ANAND MALI was born in 1974 Latur, at Maharashtra. He did his Art Teacher's diploma from Chitrakala Mahavidyalaya, Latur 1992 and a Diploma in Drawing and Painting from Abhinav Kala Mahavidyalaya, Pune in 1995. In 1996, he took another diploma in Art Education at Sir J.J.School of Art, Mumbai. He has since then participated in several group shows in Pune, Delhi and Mumbai and held his first solo show in 1998 at the Art Gallery, Nehru Centre, Mumbai; 1999 has held a solo show at Jehangir Art Gallery, Mumbai and in 2001 at Nazar Art Gallery, Baroda. He has participated in the Save the Children Auction, conducted by Bowring's in 2002, at Mumbai. Also participated in the American School Auction in Mumbai 2002, & in a group show at Indigo, Mumbai. Solo show in 2002 at Jehangir Art Gallery, Mumbai. He currently teaches and works from Raigad, Maharashtra. STATEMENT: A moment I feel very beautiful and pleasant about, where a strong relationship arises in my heart, that moment I present through my art. That moment, which I experience, is not directly reflected in my art, but the art itself becomes the moment.
