SANTANA GOHAIN born in Dibrugarh, Assam, finished BFA in Print Making First Class with Distinction, Govt. College of Art and Crafts, Assam & Post Diploma in Print Making, First Class, Faculty of Fine Arts, M.S. University, Baroda, Gujarat. From 1994 to 2006 ,Several participation shows in Vadodara, Mumbai, New Jersey, San-Francisco, Bhopal, Bangalore, Chandigarh, Nagpur. Has held several solo shows: 1999 - Nazar Art Gallery, Baroda; 2000- With Ganesh Gohain (collaborative show) at The Fine Art Company, Mumbai; 2002- Solo Show, The Fine Art Company, Mumbai & 2006 - Silent Speech, The Fine Art Company, Mumbai at the Museum Art Gallery. Has participated in 2004 Crossworld ,an exhibition with Christophe, Blaise, Kenji & Ganesh at Sarjan Art Gallery,Vadodara. Has attended the following workshops: 1997 Sculpture Workshop with Prof. Jean Louis Raymond from France at Faculty of Fine Arts Baroda; 1998 Colour Print Making Workshop with Joaquin Capa from Spain at Faculty of Fine Arts , Baroda; 2005- National Workshop Lalit Kala Akademi, Lucknow; & Art camp in Ladakh organized by Fine Art Company Gallery and Gallery Espace New Delhi. Participated in 2006 "Myrrh" a group show at Tao Art Gallery, Mumbai in collaboration with Art Edge. Has received in 1999-2001,Junior Fellowship, Ministry of Human Resource Development, New Delhi. She lives and works in Baroda.
