Ketaki Pimpalkhare was born in 1977 at Pune, finished Degree in Commercial Art from the Abhinav Kala Mahavidyalaya, Pune, Creative writing from South Tyneside College, South Shields UK & M.A. in Fine Arts from S.N.F.T. Pune. She has had 2 solo shows: in 2003. 2003 - A series of paintings - 'ADIMAYA' at Hacienda Gallery, Kala Ghoda, Mumbai & Portraits and caricatures at the Jazz Garden Cajun and Creole Festival. Has participated in several group exhibitions: 2000 - Chitari Academy of Arts, Atur Sangatani Foundation at Balgandharva, Pune & 'American Indians'. Holiday Inn, Pune; 2002 Paintings Auction by Christies for the Akanksha Foundation in Indigo Restaurant, Mumbai; 2003 - Paintings Auction by Christies for the Akanksha Foundation in New York & The Garden of Eden, Pune; 2004 - Paintings Auction by Christies for the Akanksha Foundation, Mumbai and in 2007 - Foot by Foot, by Tao art gallery at Kala Ghoda fest, Mumbai & Point and Line to Plane III at Gallery Beyond, Mumbai. Paintings are in private and public collections in India and abroad.
