Born in 1955, Bombay. She studied Painting at Sir J.J.School of Art, Bombay and Graphics at New York University, New York, USA. She represented India in the Eastern Festival, Detroit, USA. She has had many solo shows: 1978, 1982, 1985, 1987, 1991, 1993 & 1997 at Bombay. She has participated in a number of exhibitions in India and abroad in countries like Yugoslavia, Singapore, Japan and Sydney, Hawaii and Dubai. Nimisha has won the 1980 Annual Exhibition Award at NYU & in 1983 A %u2018painting of the year%u2019 Competition by United Overseas Bank Group, Singapore. In 1983, she was invited to teach at National University, Singapore. She has her paintings in several pubic and private collections both in India and abroad. She lives and works in Mumbai.
