R.B.BHASKARAN was born in 1942 finished his art education from the Govt College of Arts and Crafts, Madras. He took training in Fresco at Banasthali, Rajasthan in 1964, Printmaking Lithography & Ceramics in Israel under UNESCO in 1968. He has received many awards and scholarships: 1976-77 British Council Scholarship for post-graduate studies in print making at Postsmouth Polythenic;1984 to 86 Fellowship award by the Dept of Culture, Govt of India, New Delhi; has also won the National award for Graphic Art. Has held 16 solo shows in Mumbai, Chennai, Bangalore, UK, Holland, Fiji. He has participated in 13 group exhibitions in India and abroad from 1978 to 1985. Has attended camps in Ooty, J & K, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu. He lives and works in Chennai.
