YASHWANT BABURAO DESHMUKH (b.1963) born in Akola, 1963. 1983-88 studied BFA from Sir J.J.School of Arts, Mumbai. He has won numerous awards: 1993 Bendre-Husain Scholarship, Mumbai; 1996 Sixth Bharat Bhavan Indian Contemporary Art Biennial%u2019s Grand Prize Bhopal; 1985-88 J.J.School of Arts, Kumari Ratan Wadke, Shirgaonkar Awards, Mayo Awards, Maharashtra State Art Award and Handicapped Welfare Federation Award, New Delhi. He has held several solo shows: 1996 Gallery Jean Cocteau Alliance Francaise de Bombay, 1997 Jehangir Art Gallery, Mumbai & Nazar Art Gallery, Baroda. Has participated in major group shows: 1986,1989,1991,1993 Jehangir Art gallery, Mumbai; 1987 Bajaj Art Gallery Graphics & Paintings; 1996 Lakeeren Art Gallery, Mumbai; Bhopal, 1996,1997,1998,2000 Sans Tache Art Gallery Mumbai; 1997 NGMA Mumbai; 2001 Jamat Art Gallery Mumbai; Lalit Kala Akademi Bangalore & abroad 1994,1996 Gallery 7 Hong Kong; 2001 New York USA. He has attended several camps in Bhopal, Mumbai and all over India. He lives and works in Mumbai
