Born in Bangalore. 1988-Completed B.F.A. (Painting) - College of Fine Arts, Bangalore. 1990-Completed M.F.A. (Print making) under P. D. Dhumal and Rini Dhumal, Faculty of Fine Arts, M.S. University, Baroda. 1995 -Completed M.A. English - Mysore University. 1994-96- Worked as lecturer in RV College of Engineering, Department of Architecture. -Continued as visiting faculty in the same department since 1996. 2001-Studied handmade papermaking under J Parry at the Papermaking Resource, Glasgow School of Art, Glasgow, UK, with a grant from the Charles Wallace India Trust.

AWARDS 1987 & 1988-College of Fine Arts, Annual Exhibition Award. 1990 -Karnataka Lalit Kala Academy Annual Exhibition Award. Gadgil Memorial Award, Bombay Art Society exhibition. 1999-Karnataka Lalit Kala Academy Annual Exhibition Award. 2000 -Exhibition 2000 conducted by Karnataka Shilpa Kala Academy in coordination with Lalit Kala Akademi, New Delhi in Bangalore. -‘Kejriwal Young Artist Award’ given by Karnataka Chitrakala Parishat. - National Award in 42nd National Exhibition conducted by Lalit Kala Akademi, New Delhi. 2001-Charles Wallace India Trust award for short-term study in the UK.
